The Project:
Transported and delivered turbine windmills from Houston, Texas, to Ponce, Puerto Rico,
in support of the second commercial windmill project on the island. The Punta Lima Wind Farm Project is expected to be operational by late 2012, generating 52GWh per year for Puerto Rico Electric Authority while at the same time reducing CO2 emissions by 34,000 tons.

Highlights:
- Completed the 3,615 nautical mile journey in 26 days, delivering the project in good condition and on time
- Transported 13 V100-1.8MW windmill units for a total of 19,262 R/Tons
- Each windmill contained one nacelle, one hub, and three blades, each 161 ft. long
- Delivered a Liebherr 1400/2W Crawler Crane 1307 R/Tons to be used in windmill assembly
- Spain-based Gestamp Wind collaborated with Go Green Puerto Rico in effort to help
the island reach a goal of 15 percent of renewable energy production by 2020 - The turbines were manufactured by Denmark-based Vestas
- The blades were manufactured in Colorado by Vestas Americas
- Each windmill is capable of producing 1.8MW of electric power
