To bad NAS north Island can’t say good bye one last time where the Connie called her home for most of her long career. I was once a sailor on the Connie from 1980 to 1983 with one of her squadrons
I see that the Corbin Foss has slowed to avoid a storm off Mexico.
Marine traffic.com shows the tug heading in a northerly direction at this time (2:21P PST). Is the ship doing this to avoid the storm or is Marine Traffic have an error?
Thanks
Yes, the position is correct. They are heading in a northerly direction to avoid weather associated with Hurricane Marie.
What are the costs?
* tug cost for total round trip?
* Navy’s cost for trip?
* Scraping cost?
* Scrap value?
WOW!
Thanks,
John
